grounding welder to trailer? · I ran my Bob on my truck ungrounded for a while before I properly grounded it. It worked fine and no disasters happened, but the owner's manual says, in no uncertain terms, to ground it, so I did. I don't know that it has anything to do with how the welder runs, I think it has to do with static electricity and filling the gas tank.
